Oyster’s are fabulous yachts and this Oyster 43 was designed by Stephen Jones in the early 1980’s with very sleek lines.
This example # 43 – 06 was built in 1983 at Landamores in the UK where Oyster still build their current range of luxurious cruising yachts and is believed to be the first oyster ever registered in the United States.
With two double cabins and a single head with shower, plus three sea berths and a convertible saloon, there is accommodation for nine in total along with ample storage. The forecabin is currently used for storage but could easily be converted back to a double cabin.
Repowered in 2012 with a Volvo 40hp diesel, still with low hours, and with new standing rigging in 2016.
Fitted for long distance cruising with solar panels, Spectra watermaker, Monitor wind vane steering plus a Cetrek autopilot, Raymarine instruments, Garmin plotter, SSB, and a good dinghy with a 9.8hp outboard.
With an extensive sail wardrobe and a good selection of ground tackle.
